Job summary

dSb Recruitment Consultancy Ltd. is assisting a growing UK product business near Warrington to recruit a Junior Buyer.

You will own designated product categories and drive commercial performance, from concept through to launch. You will work closely with the Buying team, negotiate with suppliers (Far East experience is advantageous), analyse data to inform range decisions and help deliver on-time launches across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience owning product categories and managing performance.
• Strong experience in range building, sourcing, pricing and supplier negotiation.
• Experience with Far East suppliers and different origins.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage designated product categories, driving sales, margin and profitability.
• Build and develop ranges from concept through to launch.
• Manage the Critical Path, ensuring milestones and launches are on time.
• Research market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements for new opportunities.
• Source, negotiate and build relationships with suppliers across countries of origin (Far East advantageous).
• Analyze sales, margin and product performance data to inform buying decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Merchandising, Marketing, Sales and Technical teams for launches.
• Attend trade shows and contribute to product strategy.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing and risks; ensure standards.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
