Overview

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in Animal Nutrition & Health. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your role will cover the British Isles (UK and Ireland) and will have close contact with our Sales & Premix production site in Heanor, Derbyshire where this role is based. This role is key to supporting the efficient sourcing and procurement & Supply of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier performance, while maintaining compliance with company standards and values.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance
• Support contract negotiations and supplier relationship management
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and align procurement with business goals
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in procurement or a supply chain role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
• A strong sense of accountability - you take initiative, speak up, and see things through. You are responsible and focus on what matters

Desirable qualifications

• Working towards CIPS qualifications
• SAP experience is desirable
