A well-established manufacturing & engineering company in Sheffield is seeking a Junior Buyer to assist in purchasing key services and products. The ideal candidate will have procurement experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Working closely with the Senior Buyer and other stakeholders within the business, theKey responsibilities are :

  • Assisting in purchasing key services and products for the business
  • Building strong supplier relationships
  • Evaluating supplier performance
  • Researching new suppliers and identifying cost savings
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure the right goods and services are purchased
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, using the ERP system
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in procurement or purchasing is essential although there is room to grow in the role.
  • Strong organisationand communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Experience inmanufacturing, engineering or similar sector would be advantageous but not essential
