Job summary

The Walcot Group Limited is hiring a Junior Butcher to join our growing family of venues in Bath and the Southwest. You’ll work with high-quality whole carcasses, support our central kitchen, and help pack orders for our shops and restaurants.

You’ll start with basic knife skills and a genuine desire to learn, with hands-on training in whole-animal butchery and opportunities to work across production and retail at Walcot venues.

Qualifications

• Basic knife skills or preliminary kitchen/butchery experience is required.
• Interest in learning traditional curing and sausage making.
• Ability to work across production and retail with a good hygiene standard.

Responsibilities

• Work on the butchery block and prep/pack orders for the central kitchen and shop.
• Assist with prep for restaurant menus and service at venues.
• Learn traditional curing and sausage making with the team.
• Support production and retail operations with flexibility and a strong work ethic.
