A regional NHS trust is seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to support data analytics using IBM Cognos dashboards. The role involves maintaining reports, writing advanced SQL code, and ensuring compliance with reporting obligations. Ideal candidates will have a degree or equivalent experience in information analysis. This full-time position offers a salary between £31,049 to £37,796 per year, with a fixed-term contract of 18 months.

This is an exciting opportunity (fixed term - 18 months) for a self‑motivated individual to join the Business Intelligence Integrated Performance team within Digital and Data Services.
The Integrated Performance team supports clinical and business decision making using data analytics presented in meaningful and interactive ways. The team provides historical and current views of important Trust operations and compares them against local and national standards. The team helps to provide clarity to operation managers, influence best practice and policy and aid overall understanding of a wealth of Trust data.

The Junior Business Intelligence Developer post holder will support and develop the IBM Cognos dashboards and SQL metrics used by the Performance department and managers throughout the Trust, ensuring the Trust’s information reporting obligations to the Department of Health, NHS Digital, NHS England and Commissioners are met.

Working alongside the Integrated Performance team manager, the post holder will support in the maintenance and creation of the IBM Cognos dashboards used to view the Integrated Performance metrics across the Trust to measure performance against national and local standards. The post holder will assist in writing complex SQL code to build metrics using the Trust data warehouse, whose output will be viewed on the dashboards at all levels of the Trust.
