A leading broadcasting company in London is seeking a Junior Broadcast Engineer to support and maintain technical systems for broadcasting. You will engage with various departments to ensure high-quality transmissions and will work on location for outside broadcasts. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, some knowledge of broadcast technologies, and good interpersonal skills. Full training and development opportunities are provided.
The Team: You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team of Broadcast Engineers, working together to share knowledge, develop skills and help make brilliant radio, TV and digital products. The team is responsible for complex studio and broadcast systems, managing them to ensure high quality, uninterrupted transmissions.
As a Junior Broadcast Engineer, reporting to the Lead Broadcast Support Engineer, you will join a team of 8 shift engineers responsible for the support, maintenance, fault management and readiness of News UK broadcast systems and networks, both at our London studios and on location at outside broadcasts. You will work a shift pattern that includes early, late and weekend working and take part in an on‑call rota to respond to urgent technical issues outside standard hours.
