Job summary

Farrans is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to pursue a career in Bid Management in the Civil Engineering Pre-Contract team. You will support Bid Managers across the end-to-end bid process and take responsibility for less complex bids.

You will learn best-practice techniques to ensure compliant and compelling proposals, and you will contribute to submissions for projects ranging from £10m to £50m+. Farrans supports personal development, including APMP certification.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree or equivalent level.
• Minimum of two years’ post-graduation experience in a relevant position.
• Excellent standard of written English with an ability to articulate messages clearly and concise.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Able to effectively plan own workload and that of others.
• Able to work to tight deadlines in high pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Support the full life-cycle of the bid process from Go/No Go to contract award.
• Take personal responsibility for less complex bids.
• Shape bids to achieve compliant and compelling submissions.
• Support bid kick-off meetings to communicate winning bid strategy and assign responsibilities.
• Monitor bid progress to ensure compliance with the strategy.
• Encourage an integrated team approach and bid process energy.
• Write or contribute to sections of the quality response.
• Assist in preparation of presentations for tender interviews.
• Seek client feedback to drive improvements and abide by Company policies.
