STER EO is a Covent Garden venue seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. You will master our cocktail menu, maintain a pristine bar, and deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding our no-pretension ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a cocktail bar.
• Excellent spirits and classic cocktails knowledge.
• Attention to details and customer needs.

• Be well spoken with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of other languages would be beneficial.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Learn the cocktails on the menu and the list of classic cocktails provided.
• Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, with precise measurements and clean bar tools.
• Communicate needs to servers and barbacks in advance.
• Greet and interact with guests, manage seating and guest care.
• Open and close the bar following procedures, with cleanliness maintained.
• Communicate with the Bar Manager for inventory issues and feedback.

Job description

Inspired by the vibrant late-night cultures of New York and London, complete with the undertones of Parisian chic, STEREO offers a masterfully curated mix of music, food, and drinks. STEREO features an extensive drinks menu, American inspired culinary bar classics, and an eclectic and dynamic music programme. The bar offering sees local products from Partizan Brewery and Thames Distillers (including a STEREO house vodka & gin). The music ties it all together, with a rotating series of resident DJs and curated one-off performances.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience, knowledge of mixology, toppresentation, ambition, zero pretension - this is what we are looking for inour bartenders. The Bartender must be impeccable in allareas of our activity - cocktails, cleanliness of his bar station, guestrelation, speech and presentation.

Cocktails

• Learn thecocktails on the menu and the list of classic cocktails provided. Understandand know about the products used.
• Prepare andserve high-quality cocktails, respecting our basic rules: use of jiggers at alltimes, perfectly measured, clean bar tools, swift response time. All whileadhering to our principle of aiming to provide the best drinking experiencewithout a hint of pretension.
• Communicate tothe servers and barbacks their needs well in advance.

Guest Relation

• Greet andinteract with guests.
• In cooperationwith the Servers, ensure that the client is seated, provided with a menu, andthoroughly taken care of from that point forward.
• If the serveris absent for whatever reason, the bartender nonetheless ensures that theclient's needs are covered.
• Create awelcoming environment for guests, assess their needs, present the cocktailsmenu and make recommendations.
• Take drinksorders.

Cleanliness,opening and closing of the bar

• Responsible forthe opening and the closing of the bar, following the procedural list, from theset-up to taking out the rubbish at the end of the evening, and everything inbetween.
• The opening andclosing duties are part of a collective effort from all team members, as is thecleanliness of the bar throughout the entire service.
• Apply all foodand beverage safety and quality regulations.

Communication& Reporting

• Communicatewith the Bar Manager for inventory issues, client comments, and generalreporting.
• Comply with allreasonable direction and/or requests from the Management Team.
