Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd. in Central London seeks a Junior Audio Visual Design & Estimator to design AV systems for commercial spaces, prepare technical drawings and cost estimates.

You will work with clients, suppliers and installation teams to ensure proposals are accurate and commercially viable. You’ll develop tailored solutions, review requirements, and produce installation plans while staying current with AV tech trends.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of commercial AV systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience in labour and cost estimating with awareness of margins and mark-ups.
• High attention to detail throughout the design process with buildability in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design AV systems for commercial environments (meeting rooms, boardrooms, conference rooms, offices).
• Review client requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet needs.
• Produce technical drawings, system schematics, equipment layouts and installation plans.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for equipment, materials, labour and installation.
• Specify AV equipment (screens, projectors, cameras, microphones, speakers, videoconferencing).
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, engineers and installation teams to ensure deliverables are practical and achievable.
• Assess project costs, margins and budgets for commercial viability.
• Revise designs and quotations based on client feedback or budget changes.
• Provide technical support to installation teams during delivery.
• Stay updated with latest AV technologies and industry developments.
