Landbay is seeking a Junior Analytics Engineer to join our London-based team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytical needs into actionable metrics and models, focusing on data accuracy and governance.

You will help shape our Looker dashboards and BI logic, supporting cross-functional teams with self-serve reporting. The role emphasizes developing dbt models, maintaining data quality, and educating non-technical users on best practices while working with Snowflake and

The role


  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and support analytical requirements

  • Collaborate closely with teams across the business to understand their objectives, define metrics, and identify opportunities for data driven decision making.

  • Support product discovery and feature releases

  • Work alongside Tech and Product teams to shape new features through data and help evaluate their impact post-launch.

  • Develop and maintain BI logic in dbt

  • Write and maintain dbt models that power our BI layer, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business definitions.

  • Support the development and maintenance of our Looker environment

  • Structure Looker dashboards and explores for ease of use, maintain data governance, and help improve the overall self-serve experience.

  • Contribute to stakeholder enablement and adoption of BI tools

  • Educate and support users across the business in self-serving their reporting needs, and act as a trusted advisor on best practices.


Interpersonal skills & Experience


  • Some relevant working experience, whether through work, placement or self-led learning, with the ability to evidence the skills needed for the role.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Clear communication skills with a good ability to translate insights and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

  • Curious, proactive and keen to develop.

  • Strong attention to detail.


Technical skills

Required:


  • Good SQL skills (to be used mainly via DBT and Snowflake dialect)


Desirable:


  • Exposure to Looker or similar BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc) is desirable

  • Exposure to Snowflake or similar data warehouses (BigQuery, duckdb, etc) is desirable

  • Exposure to orchestration tools like Orchestra is desirable (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc)


Location & Logistics

Position is based in Victoria, central London, reporting to the Data Manager.
