Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a late-stage MSc/early‑career physicist to contribute to the development of next‑generation neutral atom quantum computers. You will work at the frontier of quantum technology, building experimental systems, controlling laser‑cooled atoms and ultra‑high vacuum setups under expert mentorship.

You will gain hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art hardware and software, contributing to real quantum computing projects while growing technical ownership in a collaborative

Qualifications

• MSc in AMO physics or closely related field is required.
• Strong hands-on experimental skills in physics labs.
• Proficiency with Python or similar language is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate and improve cutting-edge experimental quantum systems with experienced physicists.
• Assist with integration of optical, mechanical, electronic and software components into quantum devices.
• Perform precision experiments on laser-cooled atomic systems and analyse results for hardware development.
• Characterise and optimise system performance through testing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain, align and optimise laser systems and optical setups; assist with installation and lab organisation.
• Document procedures, results and technical findings for reproducibility.
