Job summary

Copello Global is seeking a Mechanical, Aerospace or Design Engineering graduate to help design, build, test and fly hardware for uncrewed aircraft and mission systems. You’ll work across CAD, the lab and test sites, turning ideas into real hardware with support from experienced engineers.

From day one you’ll gain hands-on exposure—creating 3D models in SolidWorks, performing sizing calculations, and contributing to design reviews.

Qualifications

• A 2:1 or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace or Design Engineering.
• Final-year students encouraged to apply.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or similar.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and thermal/structural principles.
• Interest in how mechanical, electrical and thermal systems work together.
• Hands-on engineering experience from placement, team, competition or project.
• Practical, curious, methodical problem solver who asks questions and learns.
• Willingness to learn and challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform sizing calculations for loads, tolerances, mass and thermal performance.
• Design avionics/payload installations, airframe components and mechanisms.
• Assess harness routing, connectors, cooling and temperatures in designs.
• Support build, integration and environmental testing with fit checks.
• Collaborate with suppliers on prototypes and small-production parts (machining, additive manufacturing, composites).
• Maintain drawings, BOMs and an engineering change records.
• Participate in design reviews and present to the team.
