A busy, friendly finance team is looking for a Junior Accountant to support the Finance Manager across all aspects of the accounts function. Along with a salary of up to £38,000 per annum, you will also receive:

What you’ll be doing as Junior Accountant

You’ll be involved in sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, and month-end support — and will also oversee two team members who handle much of the day‑to‑day processing.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting two finance team members who manage invoice and payment processing.
• Overseeing both sales and purchase ledgers, including raising invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving queries.
• Maintaining and reconciling the cash book and bank accounts.
• Assisting the Finance Manager with month‑end reporting, reconciliations, and investigations.
• Spotting and resolving discrepancies.

We’re looking for a Junior Accountant with

• A good grounding in finance, ideally AAT Level 3 qualified or currently studying.
• Experience in both sales and purchase ledger.
• Confident with Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Someone who’s naturally analytical, inquisitive, and enjoys solving problems.
• A team player who’s reliable, organised, and keen to learn.
• It is crucial that you have your own transport as the office is based in a rural location.
