A major media organization is seeking a skilled individual for a Global Journalism role focused on Global Health. You'll research and produce engaging text and video content for diverse audiences, utilizing strong editorial judgment and video editing skills. Applicants should have substantial digital journalism experience and be adept with social media trends and monitoring tools. CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract / Attachment, Full-time until end of August 2026.

LOCATION: New Broadcasting House, London
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £27,600 – £35,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience plus London weighting. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Flexibility in terms of the working week is required as the team is operational 7 days per week.
Global Journalism is a key team within BBC World Service Languages. It provides high quality journalism and production, making text, video and social content that drives reach and engages audiences worldwide. Our core mission is to offer content to language services that enables them to cover and explain the world to their audiences, focusing on content that will grow those audiences.
The Global Health team sits within our department and provides text and short video content to World Service language services and BBC News. The aim of the team is to grow audiences by offering a regular stream of SEO optimised and audience informed text and video on the Global Health brief.
We are an enthusiastic, ambitious team focused on developing new ways to reach global audiences across BBC World Service languages. There are lots of opportunities to experiment and we are always looking to try out fresh ways of telling stories on social. As well as spotlighting great health content from across BBC outlets, we also produce our own original material for language services to use on their platforms.
