A leading academic institution in St Andrews is seeking a Joiner to join their Estates Trades Team. The role involves performing joinery maintenance duties across the university's extensive estate, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should have significant post-apprentice experience and the ability to work in various environments. We are looking to appoint a Joiner to join our multi-disciplinary maintenance team responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wide range of services throughout the University Estate.
You will work as part of the Estates Trades Team and assist with the provision of internal and external joinery maintenance duties on the University’s extensive and varied estate. You will work as part of a small team undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance duties, executing workmanship to a high standard and ensuring strict compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.
You should be flexible in your approach to work, have extensive post apprentice experience in all Joinery techniques to include repair and maintenance, experience of working in a commercial environment the in the modern and historic environment. Have an excellent awareness of current Health and Safety awareness.
Excellent terms and conditions apply – 36.25 hours/week (working hours will vary between the hours of 7am and 6pm and specific timings will vary between work colleagues to suit any operational needs); 30 days annual leave plus 5 statutory days; contributory pension scheme.
