Job summary

A leading construction firm in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Joiner to perform internal and external joinery, including maintenance and trade tasks like plastering and plumbing. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Joinery or equivalent, experience in customer service, and a full UK driving license. Responsibilities include effective work planning, compliance with Health & Safety, and supporting apprentices. Job description
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Carry out all aspects of internal and external joinery, including plastic and composite products, maintenance and remedial works
  • Undertake associated trade tasks (e.g. basic plastering, tiling and plumbing) to support efficient service delivery
  • Plan and organise work effectively to meet priority response times and performance targets
  • Work within scheduled appointment systems, liaising directly with customers and colleagues
  • Diagnose faults, carry out pre-measuring and determine repair requirements in line with contractual guidelines
  • Supervise and support apprentices or trainees when required
  • Use IT and mobile devices to receive instructions, complete work orders and order materials
  • Ensure accurate completion of all documentation and system updates
  • Drive and maintain a company vehicle, stock and equipment responsibly
  • Manage materials efficiently, minimising waste and delays
  • Comply fully with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
  • Participate in training, development and competency programmes
  • Work collaboratively with schedulers, planners, customer liaison officers and contractors
  • Take part in an out-of-hours rota when required (additional payment applies)
What We’re Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery or relevant craft discipline
  • CSCS card at the appropriate level
  • Experience in multi-skilled trade activities
  • Full UK or EU driving licence
  • Completed apprenticeship (time served)
  • Proven experience in joinery, building maintenance and construction
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Experience supervising or supporting apprentices
Interview Process:

Candidates will be invited to in-person interviews at our Stonebridge office, which will include a competency-based interview.
