A well-established and reputable Construction and Facilities Management contractor is seeking an experienced Joiner to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality joinery services within social housing properties. Key Responsibilities
- Construct and install wooden frameworks including walls, floors, partitions, and door frames.
- Fit, repair, and maintain wooden fixtures such as doors, windows, skirting boards, and architraves.
- Measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials accurately using a range of hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install cabinetry, furniture, and other bespoke wooden structures as required.
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to existing timber structures and fittings.
- Ensure all work is completed to required building regulations, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with tenants, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in safe and effective working order.
- Perform any additional duties as reasonably requested by management.
- Monday-Friday working schedule.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Strong understanding of relevant health & safety practices within the construction sector.
- Proven experience in joinery, including installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Good knowledge of building regulations and joinery safety standards.
- Confident in reading technical drawings and construction plans.
- Experience working within the social housing sector (highly desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
