Thorn Baker Recruitment is seeking an experienced Joiner for a hands-on site role in Aberdare, Wales. You will carry out general joinery, first and second fix, install doors, frames, skirting and architraves, and work with hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate has previous joinery experience, own tools, a CSCS card where required, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while following site safety procedures.

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Joiner for a construction project based in Aberdare, Wales.

JOB DETAILS

Location: Aberdare, Wales

Position: Joiner

Start Date: TBC

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out general joinery work on site
• Completing first fix and second fix joinery as required
• Measuring, cutting and fitting timber and other materials accurately
• Installing doors, door frames, skirting boards and architraves
• Fitting and securing timber components
• Making adjustments and carrying out finishing work where required
• Reading and following site instructions and technical drawings where necessary
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
• Working alongside other trades to ensure the project runs smoothly
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area
• Following all site health and safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working as a Joiner
• Good knowledge of general construction joinery
• Valid CSCS card, where required by the site
• Own tools suitable for the work
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Available to confirm a start date once the project details are finalised
