A local care organization in Edinburgh is seeking personal assistants to help run household tasks for a disabled individual. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and the ability to meet physical needs. The role offers flexible shifts totaling 23 hours per week at a rate of £13.35 per hour, with benefits including paid annual leave and a pension scheme. Female applicants only are invited to apply.
There's no experience needed for this job as you'll learn everything you need to do on the job. Just need a willingness to learn. Best way to describe the job is you are my arms and legs. I am in a powered chair as I have MD. Best way to describe my muscular dystrophy is that I can't use my arms or legs. So I simply need someone to be my arms and legs for me. The job is helping me run my family household and to help me be me, so every day is different.
Rate of pay £13.35 per hour.
There are 23 hours per week available and the shifts are as follows:
I am looking for two personal assistants to share the above shifts. Applications from people looking to do 15 hours or less welcome. Please state in your application which shifts you wish to do.
There could also be holiday cover for other PA shifts, if needed.
The rate of pay: £13.35 per hour. Paid annual leave and a pension scheme available.
It would be preferred but not essential, that you hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own car.
You must be a member of, or be prepared to join, the PVG scheme. Female applicants only please, this is a genuine occupational requirement.
