The Functional Integration Lead is responsible for leading, and owning, the day-to-day technical delivery of functional integration and system verification activities for a programme or family of systems. They support the Chief Systems Proving Engineer in the delivery of all Compat, HWIL and Software Integration activities required to integrate and test missile and munition equipment. They interface with different project customers and stakeholders to plan and achieve key design verification and evidence, with a hands-on and practical approach in the planning and conduct of integration and compatibility proving activities where required. They have a deep knowledge of system and subsystem functionality and behaviours and are recognised as a senior role within the programme, often managing and mentoring a team of integration engineers, supporting skills development and knowledge sharing initiatives.
