A progressive educational trust in Milton Keynes seeks a Personal Care Assistant on a temporary part-time contract. You’ll support the physical and emotional wellbeing of students and promote a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, nurturing, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. Our Personal Care Assistants work as a valued part of the class team to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of our pupils. The role is varied, active, and above all, rewarding.

Fountaindale is a special school for young people from 3 – 18 with severe learning disabilities or profound and multiple learning disabilities. At Fountaindale we are passionate that every day matters for children and have our children and families at the heart of everything we do.

You will be required to ensure the safety of our children and young people and facilitate their access to learning by responding to individual needs, which may include personal care and hygiene needs such as toileting and changing. You will respond to the emotional, social and mental health needs of our children and young people, promote a positive culture, and provide support with attainment and progress. You will have the opportunity to make judgments on the attainment and progress of our students and help them celebrate success. You will work as part of a dedicated, motivated team committed to improving the life chances of our children and young people.
Knowledge of SEN is advantageous. Experience as a Personal Care Assistant in mainstream or specialist education settings is desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, energy, caring, and nurturing attitude are essential.
