A leading jewellery studio in London is seeking a Design and Studio Assistant for a 1-year maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will support design development, manage administrative tasks, and assist with client-facing responsibilities. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and technical drawing skills are essential. A passion for fine jewellery and craftsmanship is required. This position offers valuable experience in a creative studio environment.

Qualifications

• Degree (or alternative qualification) in Jewellery Design or a related creative discipline.
• Strong understanding in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Demonstrate an ability to create technical drawings.
• Ability to manage many projects concurrently and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong visual and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
• A passion for fine jewellery, craftsmanship and heritage design.
• Knowledge of CAD software (Rhino, MatrixGold or similar).

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team with research, concept development, and CAD renderings.
• Create presentation materials and digital technical illustrations.
• Support the team with daily studio administration and coordination tasks.
• Ensure the studio is well-stocked with essential materials and tools.
• Assist with photography, archiving, and maintaining design records.
