Job summary

Cory is recruiting a Jetty and Logistics Operative for its Riverside Energy from Waste facility. The role supports the smooth running of the plant through crane operation, barge handling, and waste transfer tasks.

The successful candidate will have mobile plant/crane experience, a willingness to work two shift patterns, and a focus on health, safety and environmental procedures. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Mobile Plant/Crane background essential.
• Operational qualifications or equivalent desirable.
• Experience in Energy from Waste or similar environment desirable.
• Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks to meet plant needs.
• Good communication with colleagues and contractors.
• Understanding health, safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Jetty Container Cranes, Dock Tractors, Front Loading Shovel, Ash Cranes and other Mobile Plant as directed by a Supervisor.
• Expedite unloading/reloading of barges and optimise waste supply to tipping hall and waste bunker.
• Supervise tipping hall operations and waste audits safely and efficiently.
• Identify and report accidents/incidents/SINs promptly to Supervisor/Shift Team Leader.
• Prevent unauthorised waste deposits and report incidents.
• Ensure safe and efficient on-site operations and compliance with HSE and plant procedures.
• Implement work procedures and site safety rules; review as necessary.
• Understand environmental legislation and Environmental Permit BK0825WI.
• Report environmental concerns to Shift Leaders/Managers.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by management.
