Choose a career with the UK’s biggest independent drainage specialist
The Lanes Group needs a van-based Jetting Engineer on the front line, to join our growing depot network in Preston.
You’ll already be familiar with high pressure jetting equipment, but you may not have drainage experience. That’s OK — we’re happy to train you to the appropriate standard. A high pressure water jetting certificate would be good, but it’s not essential.
You’ll need a UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and hold an up to date CSCS card.
You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. And you’ll love working outdoors.
Being flexible is essential too : we operate 24 / 7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours call‑out rota.
You’ll be operating van‑mounted jetting equipment for a wide range of drain‑related issues. Based out of a local depot, your projects will cover a wide range of drainage related issues, from emergency call‑outs and blockages to cleaning pipes during regular maintenance programmes.
You will visit various types of clients and sites, from commercial, residential, and industrial to specialist sectors like rail, road, utility, and so on.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8am - 4.30pm)
Being flexible is essential too as you will be required to travel to site.
This is a full time position with overtime potential; regular training (including our own City & Guilds qualifications)

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from under‑represented members of the community.
