A leading water services company is seeking a Jetvac Operator/Driver in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will operate vacuum tankers for transporting sewage sludge, conduct daily vehicle checks, and collaborate with transport and operations teams. The primary objective of this role is to safely operate vacuum tankers for the collection and transport of sewage sludge between Severn Trent Services (STS) sites. The operator must comply with road transport legislation and STS policies and procedures, and actively participate in various meetings, including Comm Cells and Team Meetings.
Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:
Hours of work can either be Monday - Friday 8-4 or 7-3 - There is no overtime with this role.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a minimum of a class 2 licence, additional training will be provided.
You’ll also be expected to have the ability to operate vacuum tankers and associated equipment. You should be able to safely access vehicle cabs, sites, and offices using correct procedures, such as 3 points of contact. You must be capable of manipulating flexible pipework (up to 5” diameter) safely using correct manual handling techniques.
Additionally, you’ll be able to work unsupervised in all weather conditions, utilizing correct PPE and lone worker systems. The ability to dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions upon arrival is essential.
The role holder will need to be able to secure and retain full MoD (SC) security clearance. (we'll support you with this)
