Job summary

Ncounter Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled frontend engineer to design and build modern web applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript, with emphasis on robust UX and accessible design.

You will develop dashboards for complex operational environments, integrate with REST APIs and authentication services, and collaborate with stakeholders across consultancy and public-sector engagements. Strong testing and CI/CD practices are required.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing applications with React and TypeScript.
• Excellent JavaScript, HTML and CSS fundamentals, including responsive and accessible design.
• Experience building secure applications and integrating frontend services with APIs.
• Strong testing experience, ideally including Jest and React Testing Library.
• Comfortable working with Git-based development, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Experience within consultancy, government, law enforcement or similarly complex environments is particularly valuable.
• Exposure to technologies such as Entra ID, MSAL, Keycloak, Redux, React Router, Tailwind CSS, Docker, GitHub Actions or data visualisation is useful.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern web applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Develop dashboards, data-rich interfaces and intuitive user journeys for complex operational environments.
• Work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and shape practical solutions.
• Integrate applications with REST APIs, authentication services and wider enterprise platforms.
• Produce prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test ideas and support consultancy engagements.
• Contribute to testing, code reviews, CI/CD and engineering standards across delivery teams.
