Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Better Placed in Manchester is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join a tiny, fast-moving engineering team and help shape the product from idea to release.
You'll work across React, Node.js and TypeScript, owning features end-to-end and collaborating closely with founders and product/design to push the product forward in a rapidly evolving startup.
If you're looking to work for a Manchester based early stage startup with big ambitions, a place where you can work closely with founders and shape product decisions this could be an interesting opportunity for you. They're building a consumer-facing platform that is already in market and gaining traction rapidly.
Following continued growth, they are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to become one of the earliest members of their engineering team.
This is a great opportunity for a strong mid-level developer who wants to progress towards Senior Engineer while having significantly more ownership than you'd typically get in a larger technology team.
You'll work directly with the Founding Engineer and founders, taking features from an initial customer problem through to design, development and release.
This isn't an environment where everything arrives as a perfectly defined ticket. You'll be expected to ask questions, suggest improvements, make pragmatic technical decisions and take ownership of what you build.
Experience with Stripe, mobile development/Expo, ecommerce, marketplaces or booking platforms would be useful but isn't essential.
You'll be joining a very small engineering team at a point where you'll genuinely be able to influence how the product and technology evolve.
Rather than owning one small component within a large engineering organisation, you'll have visibility across the full product lifecycle and work closely with the people making the business and product decisions.
My client is particularly interested in developers who enjoy the pace and ownership that comes with an early-stage business and want the opportunity to develop into a Senior Engineer as the company grows.
