Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in a public sector/delivery context.
• Proven ability to design and build microservices.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests with JUnit.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Experience deploying to AWS and Azure.
• Focus on clean, secure, maintainable code.
• Ability to contribute to technical design and lead within an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and RESTful APIs.
• Evolve a microservices architecture to be scalable and resilient.
• Write clean, secure code following standards and best practices.
• Write automated tests (JUnit) including unit tests and integration tests.
• Contribute to technical design and explain trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Deploy and run services on AWS and Azure.
• Review code/designs and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide agile technical leadership and mentor engineers.
• Investigate and fix defects; support live services.
