Understanding Recruitment is seeking Java Developers in London with 3-5 years of Core Java experience. The role is hybrid and based in London.

You will work on greenfield projects in a fast-growing FinTech environment, building software from the ground up with a focus on performance and scalability. Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) is a plus and progression to senior roles is available.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Core Java without frameworks.
• Experience with multithreading and data structures/algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications from scratch, focusing on performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a FinTech environment.
• Contribute to design decisions and code reviews.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their 2nd or 3rd job in software development as they are looking for someone with 3-5 years prior experience, with the potential to rapidly progress into a senior position.

Experience they are looking for in Java Developers:

• Core Java
• Developing software from scratch WITHOUT the use of frameworks e.g. Spring
• Multithreading
• Data structures, algorithms, threads
• Working in a modern FinTech environment e.g. startup is a plus
• An interest in the financial sector, FX and trading
