Job summary

Synechron in Glasgow is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop and support secure, scalable applications powering critical investment banking operations. You will work with a collaborative Agile engineering team to deliver high‑quality technology solutions for clients.

Ideal candidates have strong Core Java and Spring Boot experience, design and implement REST APIs and microservices, work with SQL databases and messaging (Kafka), and contribute to cloud and CI/CD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and SQL.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
