Role Purpose

As a Senior Developer you will work in the Software team on a new farm management system.

Your role will be to design and develop both front-end and back-end software solutions using a range of technologies.

This is initially a Java development role but you will likely be required to work with .NET and Angular. Full training to transition to new technologies will be provided.

You will also play a key role liaising with other team members, both technical and commercial, with the possibility of leadership opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Server side API development using Java, REST, unit tests and MY SQL
• Actively participate in all aspects of the agile Scrum process

Skill, Knowledge and Experience

• Proactive with a positive attitude.
• Mentoring or team leadership experience would be ideal.
• Solid Java development experience ideally with JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Primefaces, Maven, any relational database.
• Exposure to .NET and a front-end framework such as Angular as advantage but not essential.
• Understanding and experience of agile software development methodologies.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications and Experience

Computing Science degree or equivalent experience.
