Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a Java Developer to join the Global Market Access team and help build the market access gateway that supports electronic trading. You will design, implement and maintain mission-critical services, ensuring resilience, low latency and strong security in a hybrid work model with a mix of on-site and remote days.

The role requires hands-on programming in Java and Python, experience with applications support, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

We are seeking a **Java Developer** for our Global Market Access EMEA development team.Sitting within the Equities cash business, the main function of the team is to build and maintain the market access gateway layer that provides connections to the EMEA trading exchanges to facilitate electronic execution trading.The gateway is used to translate internal Citi trading messages to the format expected by the exchange in order to successfully send and receive orders and execution messages.This is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in co-ordination with the Technology team.
