A Japanese game manufacturer is seeking a Japanese-speaking Accounting Clerk for an office-based role in SW London. Job description

A Japanese Game related manufacturer is seeking a Japanese-speaking Accounting Clerk in SW London. You will be responsible for managing and processing sales orders, invoices, credit notes, and shipments from customers, as well as managing small cash and bank accounts.

This is an office-based role, and the ideal candidate should have +2 years similar experience, proficiency in Japanese, and familiarity with accounting software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and process sales orders, invoices, credit notes, and shipments from customers
  • Managing small cash and bank accounts
  • Bank deposit and withdrawal check
  • Manage unpaid invoices and negotiate with customers
  • Support for preparing VAT returns and Intrastat reports
  • HMRC and accounting firm response
  • Support for royalty reporting and license account management
  • Monitoring cost fluctuations and creating sail heat
  • On-site settlement and payment management
  • Preparation of documents and data related to audits
  • Purchase order creation, inventory management, returns, and related inventory analysis
  • Coordination with logistics companies and customs authorities, and delivery arrangements for incoming cargo
  • Negotiation of transportation fees, resolution of invoice inconsistencies
  • Support for creating sales analysis, product allocation, and sales forecasts

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years of accounting or relevant industry experience
  • Business level fluency in both English and Japanese
  • Experience using SAGE or similar software
  • Excel skills above VLOOKUP
  • Experience working at small Japanese companies
  • Understanding Japanese business etiquette

This is a full-time or part-time (3-4/week) permanent position, with a salary of up to £35k based on 40hours/week (depending on the experience) + bonus.
