Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a reliable janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in our public or private buildings, ensuring environments are safe and sanitary for occupants and visitors during assigned shifts.

The ideal candidate has UK work rights, cleaning experience, and the ability to work in a team with deadlines. Flexibility with hours and days is required; security vetting will apply to offers.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors, walls, windows, and surfaces using appropriate tools, equipment and chemicals.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables; empty waste containers and ensure proper recycling separation.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms; restock toilet paper, soap and towels; ensure fixtures and plumbing work.
• Monitor and report safety hazards; ensure fire exits are accessible and secure premises at close.
• Track inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Ad hoc tasks such as carpet cleaning and floor care as required onsite.

About The Role:

Working Pattern

8am - 10am

As Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings in our public or private buildings. Your primary duty is to ensure that the environment is clean, safe, and sanitary for occupants and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning floors, walls, windows, and surfaces using the appropriate cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, emptying waste containers and ensuring proper separation of materials for recycling.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, and ensure that fixtures and plumbing are in working order.
• You may be responsible for monitoring and reporting safety hazards, ensuring fire extinguishers and emergency exits are accessible, and securing the premises at the end of the day.
• Track inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Potential ad hoc tasks such as carpet cleaning, buffing and waxing hard floors, and operating floor‑cleaning machinery depending on requirements onsite.
