New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading UK-based financial services group in its search for a Business Development Director, Mid Corporates.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Director to join our client’s team. This role combines managing an existing portfolio with originating new business opportunities to drive growth. With a strong regional presence and industry profile, you’ll develop strategic relationships and deliver tailored Asset Finance solutions to Mid Corporate clients (£25m–£100m turnover), playing a crucial role in expanding the client base and delivering impactful financial solutions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify new prospects to drive growth and expand the client base

  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients to maximise Asset Finance opportunities

  • Deliver high-value Asset Finance transactions, securing credit limits and tailored funding solutions

  • Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and introducers to ensure effective delivery

  • Lead structuring of financial solutions and negotiate deals to successful close

Person Specification
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, and client relationship management

  • Extensive credit lending experience, with ability to analyse complex financials and present detailed credit reports

  • Deep knowledge of Asset Finance products and structuring complex funding solutions

  • Validated ability to originate, structure, and close high-value transactions

  • Strong professional network to uncover and convert new business opportunities

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and collaborative approach

  • UK in-country experience is essential
