Job summary

Thales is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer (IVVQ) within the Communications and Acoustic Products team to drive early identification of customer and legislative requirements for RFQ responses. You will lead system integration, write test specifications, conduct testing, report defects, and coordinate with project planners to deliver costed, schedule-aligned solutions.

Key focus areas include requirement translation, design reviews, test execution, and metrics-driven quality

Qualifications

• Experience leading System IVVQ engineering activities in Defence or similar complex environments.
• Ability to write and approve test specifications and governance documents.
• Proven capability in risk reduction through design reviews and testing.
• Strong communication skills for client interfaces and reviews.
• Familiarity with lifecycle processes and system engineering tools (DOORS, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Converts requirements into conceptual designs and prepares documentation.
• Lead in writing and authorising test specifications and executions.
• Execute test specifications per plan and project schedule.
• Maintain quality targets and provide status to the lead IVVQ engineer.
• Analyse and report test results, investigate defects, and drive remediation.
• Lead cost and effort estimation for system/IVVQ activities.
• Represent engineering in formal design reviews and bid cost reviews.
• Develop and maintain tools supporting System IVVQ functions.
