Italian-Speaking Experienced Care Assistant
Companionship Services
  • Provide friendly companionship and conversation in Italian.
  • Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (e.g., choosing clothing, hobbies, crafts).
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social events (visiting friends or family, lunch outings, club meetings).
Home Help Services
  • Carry out light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, and caring for houseplants.
  • Organise and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates, and manage shopping.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of good food safety and the ability to cook a variety of meals from raw ingredients — including Italian dishes if preferred.
  • Assist with pet care.
Personal Care
  • Support with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with continence care.
  • Show understanding and empathy for individuals living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, considering their perspective and emotional needs.
  • Help with morning and evening routines.
Essential Criteria
  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build warm, trusting relationships with clients and their families — including offering communication in Italian when needed.
  • Respect for people from diverse backgrounds and beliefs, including those with a range of medical conditions. Commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
  • Excellent timekeeping; organised and reliable.
  • Good hygiene standards, including personal hygiene and a smart, professional appearance.
  • Ability to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant authority.
  • Class 1 business insurance (if using own vehicle for work) or reliable transport.

Pay

£125 Per Day + Meal allowance
