Shambles restaurant & winebar in Teddington is seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. We are a family-run, independent Italian restaurant & winebar serving seasonal Italian food with integrity.

The role suits an ambitious chef ready to take the next step in a busy, quality-driven environment. We offer a flexible rota, meals on duty, staff discounts, a pension scheme and clear opportunities for career progression within our established independent restaurant.

Competenze

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef in a similar fresh-food environment.
• Experience with Italian cuisine is desirable (please note, we do not serve pizza).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Confident working with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Ability to lead by example and support the development of junior team members.
• Calm and organised under pressure.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent reliability.
• Good communication skills and a genuine team-player mentality.
• Passion for cooking and a desire to continue learning and developing.
