An opening has emerged for 1 full time Data & Information Governance Officers to join the Information Management team working within Digital Policing.

We are looking for proactive, highly motivated and organised individuals to join our team and support our Information Governance functions. In this role, you will help support the wider organisation ensure it complies with Data Protection Principles by providing advice and support in relation to queries, providing training and awareness to recruits and testing understanding through monitoring and audit activity in line with relevant legislation, standards, and accreditations.
You will play a key part in supporting innovation by carrying our assessments for new and innovative uses of data, ensuring ethical and legal standards are maintained. Data governance is all about establishing and embedding policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the data we collect and use every day is of good quality, held lawfully and securely, and is used responsibly and ethically. Effective data governance helps us make informed decisions, comply with regulations, and protect sensitive information while pushing forward with new and innovative data and technology uses.
