NO AGENCIES PLEASEThis is an external facing role designing and delivering IT education and training services to enable customers to gain maximum understanding primarily for our ORIGIN Duty Management product and supporting the delivery of training on our other Public Safety Products.
As a Trainer, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
delivering training programmes to clients both in a classroom environment (on customer site, NEC offices or managed training venues) and online through Webinars, in group and one-to-one basis
conducting training needs analysis
designing course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals, exercises and how to videos to suit a wide audience with differing learning styles ranging from end users to system administrators
liaising with product experts within NEC to keep all course materials updated in line with the latest releases
developing train-the-trainer packages.
preparing the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment
organising and marketing courses to meet the needs of learners and demands of business
supporting projects with any training consultancy required to define training strategies for our customers supporting and coaching learners
evaluating the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes and acting on evaluation outcomes
keeping up to date with relevant systems, software, training methodologies and online training technology
dealing with administrative records.
This role will be home based with travel to customer sites within the UK. (approx. 50 % home based, and 50% client site based)
any LPI or other professional training body recognised qualification
existing knowledge of Duty Management solutions in particularly within a Policing environment.
Strong understanding of the UK Working Time Regulations and Police Regulations relating to working hours, rest periods and annual leave.
Analysing and developing training strategies to meet the needs of customers
Design and delivering training on software packages
knowledge of training methodologies and learning styles
Implementation of effective evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programmes and presenting future training recommendations to our customers.
knowledge of UK Emergency Services Sector
experience of developing engaging e-learning content and media
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Knowledge of a wide variety of online meeting technologies (Google Meets, Microsoft Teams etc)
Knowledge of digital learning software tools (e.g. Camtasia, Articulate 360 etc)
Able to think outside the box, harnessing new methodologies and technologies to constantly evolve the training courses and services that we offer.
Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels, motivate others and change people's attitudes when necessary.
Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly.
Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas.
Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives.
