Morgan Hunt is working in partnership with a highly respected Further Education College in the West Midlands. Due to an increased workload they are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic IT Technician. Role: IT Technician; Location: West Midlands; Start: ASAP; Job Type: Temporary

The Role

Join an FE College as their new IT Technician, where you'"ll not only keep their technology running smoothly but also deliver outstanding support to students, staff, and faculty. This role goes beyond tech—it's about making a real difference through excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students across multiple college sites
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, AV equipment, and network hardware
  • Respond to and resolve technical queries and service tickets in a timely manner
  • Support college systems and applications, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of issues and resolution
Education, experience and requirements
  • Previous experience in an IT support or technician role (1st/2nd line)
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between campuses
  • Friendly, professional attitude with a commitment to great service
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
