Position

Solihull-based with regular visits to our UK sites in Chepstow, Gwent, and Andover, Hampshire, and due to the nature of the business some out of hour’s work might be required.

Reporting to the Group IT Services Manager and working within an established IT department, this exciting role is responsible for IT support across TXO Group, supporting both internal users and external customers. You will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and technical knowledge with the desire and ability to foster strong working relationships both internally with technical teams and office staff and, also with our customers and clients.

You will manage support tickets through the Group’s ticketing system and will keep users and customers updated with information throughout the course of an incident.

Responsibilities
  • End-User Support
    • Deliver first and second-line support to onsite and remote users.
    • Resolve technical issues promptly on a first fix basis.
    • Support of hardware and software issues.
  • Device Deployment & Maintenance
    • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
    • Manage Apple iOS and Android mobile devices, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Ticketing & Documentation
    • Use IT Ticketing System to log, track, and resolve incidents and requests, through to resolution.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and configurations.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with other IT team members.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
    • Contribute to Group operational processes and ensure they are followed for incident management.

  • Cover IT Team in case of absence.

  • Must be able to represent the interests of both the Customer and the Company in a fair, equitable and robust manner.
Experience (Essential)
  • 3+ years previous and recent experience of working in an IT Support role:
    • End user support, including onsite and remote users.
    • Use of remote support tools such as TeamViewer.
  • 3+ years’ experience of the following:
    • Administration and use of IT Ticketing systems.
    • Administration of Windows Server, AD, Group Policy and NTFS.
    • Administration of Microsoft 365, Entra ID.
    • Installation, support and administration of Windows 10, and Windows 11.
    • Installation and support Android and Apple iPhone devices.
    • IP networking.
    • Administration of Firewalls, Site-to-Site and Remote VPN.
  • Full Driving Licence required.
Experience (Desired)
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+ or Microsoft certifications (MTA Level).
  • Exposure to Sage X3, or similar ERP system.
  • Exposure to SQL, such as basic queries.
  • Previous work experience of administration and use of network monitoring software, such as PRTG.
  • Use of MDM, such as IBM MaaS360.
  • Exposure to Veeam Backup and Replication.
  • Exposure to VMware and vCenter.
