Overview

IT Technician – Chippenham | £25,000-£29,000 + Benefits

This is a perfect opportunity for someone early in their career with a passion for technology to join a leading IT services provider as part of their internal IT team.

In this role, you'll provide day-to-day in-house support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues, setting up and configuring systems, maintaining company PC images, and supporting internal IT operations. You'll also be involved in troubleshooting, technical upgrades, mobile device setups, and maintaining IT asset records, ensuring that employees have a seamless computing experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day in-house IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Set up and configure systems; maintain company PC images.
  • Support internal IT operations and troubleshoot IT-related problems.
  • Manage IT inventory, assets, and peripheral equipment; maintain IT asset records.
  • Assist with technical upgrades and mobile device setups; support meeting room technology.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar IT support or technician role (does not need to be MSP).
  • Experience supporting PCs in an Active Directory environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of system setup, configuration, software installation, and maintenance of company PC images.
  • Experience managing IT inventory, assets, and peripheral equipment.
  • Technical experience with mobile devices and meeting room technology.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Passion for IT - from gaming rigs to global networks.
  • Willingness to travel across UK sites, including overnight stays if required.
