  • Hours: Full time - 36 pw (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, flexible)
  • Contract: Temp: 3-6 months, with potential to secure permanent position

We are seeking an IT Technician to support the day-to-day stability, efficiency, and compliance of IT operations for a public sector client. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in ensuring that core systems, infrastructure, and end-user services remain secure, available, and aligned with public service expectations.

Working across multiple sites, you will provide technical support, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and help maintain compliance with public sector IT standards, data protection regulations, and security protocols.

About You
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline

  • Experience in IT support or system administration, ideally within or alongside public sector environments

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of supporting users both remotely and in person

  • Comfortable managing workloads across multiple sites or departments

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (travel between client sites required)

What You'll Do as an IT Technician
  • Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple client locations

  • Support key business and productivity platforms, including Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, and Entra ID)

  • Assist with secure onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning and access setup

  • Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements
