Job description

The IT Support Analyst will provide first & second‑line technical support to internal staff. The post holder will show an aptitude for working with applications/systems to analyse, diagnose and resolve IT support requests, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. There is also a range of administration duties within this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on desk‑side support at Lasham and act as a point of escalation for the managed support provider where remote support isn't sufficient.
  • Assist with the development and support of IT assets across the Group, including desktops, laptops, printers, CCTV, WiFi, VoIP, and door access control.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of group‑wide IT security requirements, ensuring standards are adhered to and issues are addressed in a timely manner, including Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001.
  • Be a key point of contact for Business Applications, liaising with third parties for support and development of these systems.
  • Assist the IT Manager with the implementation of new operating locations and required technologies.
  • Deputise for the IT Manager in the event of holidays and sickness, including being available to support the Crisis Management Centre (CMC).
  • Support the business with the ongoing management and development of the Learning Management System, ensuring the company adheres to mandatory and statutory training requirements.
  • Support the IT Manager with the development of Annual Financial Plans (AFP), business application roadmaps, and the development of IT‑related policies and standards.
  • Support the IT Manager with the development and implementation of Data Security, Data Storage, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have a clear understanding of the network infrastructure, including cabling, patch panels, switches, and internet provision.
  • Demonstrable experience in an IT Support role in a multi‑site company – either in‑house or outsourced – is essential.
  • Whilst not essential, we're looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career and deputise for the IT Manager so management experience is desirable.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.
  • Works on own initiative, requiring minimal guidance from their Line Manager.
  • Elevated level of energy and self‑motivation, often working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • An assertive, polite, and constructive problem‑solving nature is essential.
  • Experience with project management, budget management and vendor management is a real plus.
  • Applicant must pass the UK National security check to SC (Secret) level. This will process be sponsored by 2Excel.
  • Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and pass the basic disclosure Scotland airport checks.
  • Due to the multi‑site nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is required.
  • Experience of SQL reporting writing would be beneficial but not essential.
