As a senior engineer, you’ll own escalated incidents, deliver technical projects, and guide both clients and colleagues toward robust, modern solutions. This is a varied role covering a broad set of technologies across multiple industries, including legal, logistics, manufacturing and professional services.

    • VoIP and Teams telephony deployments
  • Configure and support:
    • Routers, firewalls, switches, access points
    • Windows Server (installations, upgrades, AD/DNS/GPO management)
    • Virtual platforms: Hyper‑V, RDS farms, Citrix (including Citrix Published Apps)
  • Administer and secure Microsoft 365:
    • Azure AD, Intune, Endpoint Manager, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
    • MFA, Conditional Access, and compliance/security policies
  • Deploy and manage backup & cybersecurity tools (Veeam, EDR/XDR solutions, M365 backups, email filtering)
  • Work with mobile device management (Android, iOS)
  • Ensure proactive monitoring and remediation using RMM and ITSM platforms
  • Mentor 1st / 2nd line engineers, assist with documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Adhere to SLAs, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly with end‑users and stakeholders
About You

You are a proactive problem solver with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering real value to clients. You work well under pressure, balance BAU and project work effectively, and can explain complex topics in plain English.

You’ll ideally have:

  • 10+ years’ IT experience, including at least 3 years in a 3rd line/Senior MSP role
  • Proven expertise in M365/Azure ecosystem and Windows Server environments
  • Strong knowledge of networks, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s, VPN and ZTNA technologies
  • Experience with RMM/PSA platforms
  • Hands‑on knowledge of backup and cybersecurity tooling
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Strong ownership of technical problems
  • Confident communicator across all technical levels
  • Balances project delivery and escalated support work effectively
  • Curious, continuously learning, and up‑to‑date with evolving technology
  • A collaborative mindset with a desire to coach others and improve processes
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Champions documentation, knowledge sharing, and consistency
