Job description

FT Recruitment is exclusively handling a position for a rapidly growing technology business based in the city centre. Our client is looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join their technical team. This role involves providing high-quality support and on-site services to business clients across Aberdeen and the surrounding area. You will be responsible for managing end-user systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth delivery of IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide remote and on-site support for desktop systems, networks, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Windows 11 desktops and related hardware.
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Support the deployment and administration of Microsoft 365 Business, including Entra ID and/or Active Directory.
  • Maintain accurate service records within the company’s helpdesk.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to clients of varying technical knowledge.
  • Conduct regular visits to client sites for installations, maintenance, and support activities.

Candidates will hold a valid UK driver's license. The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Windows 11 setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, peripherals) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 Business, including Entra ID or Active Directory.
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with helpdesk processes
