We’re supporting a major UK organisation in hiring a Digital Support Operator within their IT & Digital team. The role provides second-line technical support for secure communications and Microsoft-based systems, ensuring frontline teams stay connected through reliable, well-managed technology.

You’ll deliver hands-on support, troubleshooting, and system administration across secure communications infrastructure and digital tools. This is a key role in maintaining the technology that underpins operational effectiveness and public safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2nd-line support for communications systems and related IT hardware/software.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical incidents, escalating when required.
  • Manage user access, security permissions, and configurations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain communications and recording equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with IT standards.
  • Support security, risk, and continuity processes.
About You

A technically skilled, customer-focused problem solver with strong communication skills and experience supporting digital systems in a secure environment.

Essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, M365, and communications hardware.
  • Proven experience in incident resolution and system administration.
  • Understanding of networking, access management, and security.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Participation in an on-call rota.
Desirable
  • Experience with secure radio or digital comms systems.
  • ITIL Foundation (V4) or equivalent experience.
