About the Role

We are partnered with one of the leading IT support companies in Cambridge, looking to hire a confident and capable IT Support Specialist to join their growing operation. The successful applicant can be an established IT professional experienced in all aspects of the role, or an up‑to‑date 2nd line professional keen to progress into a more senior IT role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve technical issues and provide exceptional IT support to clients both on and off‑site.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to find root causes and implement solutions, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, categorized, prioritized and resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Provide remote technical support and travel to client sites to resolve issues, configure new equipment, and oversee the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network components.
  • Conduct system audits and produce comprehensive reports on IT environments.
  • Assist clients with IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new system deployments.
  • Provide on‑site training to clients as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience level: established or 2nd line IT professional with a desire for further progression.
  • Able to drive to client sites; friendly, upbeat, problem‑solving oriented.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with remote support, hardware/software configuration, network components, and system audits is desirable.
Working Hours & Environment
  • Monday to Friday, normal office hours.
  • Regular social meet‑ups in a welcoming, relaxed workplace.
