Overview

We're looking for a proactive and motivated IT Specialist to join our growing Service Team at DD Group. In this role, you'll play a key part in not just managing but improving our IT infrastructure, supporting major incidents, handling day‑to‑day requests, and ensuring smooth problem resolution across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's not just interested in maintaining existing systems, but who wants to influence change, drive improvement, and simplify processes. We're looking for someone who's confident conducting technical reviews, performing research, making recommendations, and seeing projects through from start to finish. Responsibilities
  • Maintain, monitor, and support the company's core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Oversee and maintain virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V) and cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues raised by the Service Desk.
  • Maintain and create knowledge base articles to support the Service Desk.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver infrastructure‑related projects on time and within scope.
  • Cross‑team collaboration with Service Desk, QA, and Development.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles for internal IT teams.
  • Stay current with new technologies and recommend solutions that enhance reliability, performance, or efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced Windows Service troubleshooting.
  • Advanced Azure / Intra, IaaS, PaaS knowledge with key troubleshooting and investigation experience.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions and maintenance.
  • Virtualization platform management for Hyper‑V.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., PRTG).
  • Storage management (SAN, NAS, iSCSI).
  • Enhanced networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls).
  • Endpoint management (Intune, SCCM, or similar tools).
  • PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • SQL understanding and ability to run queries.
  • Experience managing and maintaining warehousing systems.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles (patching, endpoint protection, MFA, zero trust).
